“Juku”って塾のこと？って疑問に思ったら本当にそうでした。Wikipediaにもエントリーがあります（書いたのは日本人でしょうけど）。で，Yahoo!の塾はHTMLやCSS，JavaScript，PHP（なんで？）といったフロントエンドの技術を勉強するところだそうです。応募して採用されるとYahoo!の社員として給料が支払われ，仕事は「勉強」。勉強してお金がもらえるんならいいなあと思ってしまいました。
"The vision of the Juku program is to provide top-quality training in frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP) with the ultimate goal of producing great frontend engineers. この「塾」の背景には大学などでJavaは教えるもののフロントエンドはほとんど教えることがなく，ニーズが高まっているのに技術者がほとんど増えてこないということがあるようです。「塾」で学んだ人はもちろんYahoo!の技術者として期待されるわけですが，それだけでなく業界全体のフロントエンド技術者の支援といった狙いもあるとのこと。

確かにJavaScriptのスキルって全然違いますからね。サーバー言語は渡り歩けても，JavaScriptに移るのってかなり大変だと思います。
