Wine Spectator誌の記事によると，Joseph Phelpsがローヌ系品種のブランドLe MistralとMontereyにある40エーカーのシラーとグルナッシュの畑をRandy PuraとVentanaに売却したそうです。
"Joseph Phelps Vineyards has sold its Rhne-style blend brand, Le Mistral, along with its 40 acres of Syrah and Grenache in California’s Monterey County, to Randy Pura and Ventana Vineyards for an undisclosed amount. Ventana, located in Monterey’s Arroyo Seco AVA, has managed the vineyards for the Mistral brand for more than a decade. The change in ownership becomes official with the 2007 vintage, currently in barrel, which will be released under the Ventana label."

Ventanaは過去10年以上この畑を管理しており，2007年のワインからVentanaラベルで売ることになるそうです。

Joseph Phelpsではこの5月に32年間もワインメーカーを務めてきたCraig Williamsが辞めており，ワイナリの売却も考えているのではないかと噂されています。ただしJoseph PhelpsではLe Mistralの売却はボルドー系品種に集中するためであり，売却はないと言っています。
