Araujoの垂直試飲を米国のコレクターが開催

オハイオ州Dayton（ライト兄弟で有名なところ，一回だけ行ったことがあります）界隈のワイン・コレクターが1991年～2004年というAraujo全ヴィンテージの垂直試飲会を開きました。その様子がブログ「Uncorked」に記されています。
情報を交換していたら，全ヴィンテージ揃うことが分かって，では垂直試飲会をやろうかということになった，というのはありそうだけどなかなかすごい話です。
肝心の垂直試飲ですが，デビューの1991年がWON（Wine of the Night)の票を一番集めたそうです。うちには子供のBVである1997と2001は3本ずつありますが，どちらもかなりよさそう。彼らが成人するまでは十分持ちそうです。

「this is what California cab was meant to be.」とか書かれるとくらっとしちゃいますね（笑）。
実は2002年を最後に買うのやめてしまったのですが，やっぱり惜しかったかなあという気もちょっと。ただ，2003，2004はアルコール度が高く試飲会ではあまりよくなかったようなので，それを気持ちの中での言い訳にしようかなという感じです。
なお，パーカーの掲示板にもほぼ同じ内容のテイスティング・ノートが掲載されています。それから参考までに，WAでの評価が高いのは2002年（98-100），2003年（98），2005年（98），1995年（98），2001年（97），1993年（96）。一番評価が低いのは2000年の91ですから，安定性の高さが際立っています。
