Sine Qua Non（シン・クア・ノンあるいはシネ・クア・ノン）の2006年ヴィンテージのシラーとグルナッシュのシリーズRavenがいろいろなショップに入っています。Sine Qua Nonという特別なワイナリについては過去の記事を，昨年のAtlantisについては別の記事をご参考に。AtlantisはSine Qua Nonとしては初めて正規ルートで日本のショップに入荷したもの。昨年WA誌の177号でSyrahが100点を取り，またたく間に売り切れてしまいました。今回も似たようなことが起こる可能性は多分にあるので，ほしい人は早めに買っておくのが吉だと思います。昨年同様，シラー，グルナッシュともに3種類のラベルがあります。

なお，WA177では今回のRavenもレビューされており，Syrahは96-99，Grenacheは96-100という甲乙付けがたい点数になっています。ちなみにAtlantisのときはSyrah95-97，Grenache96-98というのが暫定評価。これが100，98と逆転しました。

ちなみに，パーカーのコメントはSyrahが

Grenacheが
The 2006 Raven Series exhibits that chocolate character that very ripe Grenache can sometimes possess, along with black cherry and black currant notes. Full-bodied and seamlessly constructed, it offers hints of graphite, licorice, smoke, and meat. The chocolate component appears to be vintage specific as I have not noticed it in other SQN Grenache offerings.

SyrahからAtlantisのコメントと比べてみましょう。AtlantisのSyrahはエレガントでヨーロッパ的なスタイルである旨がかなり書かれていたのに対し，Ravenではエレガンスという言葉は入っていますがさほど強調されていない感じがします。なお，畑の構成は昨年が43％が自社畑で，そのほかWhite Hawk，Alban，Bien Nacidoのブドウを使っていたのに対し，Ravenはほとんどが自社畑になっています。

Grenacheは，引用コメントにRavenでは，他のヴィンテージでは感じないチョコレートのニュアンスがあるとしていますが，実はAtlantisのコメントにも「The aromas reveal a distinctive chocolatey note along with the tell-tale blackberry, cassis, kirsch, licorice, camphor, and floral characteristics.」とチョコレートの文字が入っています。総じてコメントの印象だけでは違いはあまりなさそうです。
