JancisRobinson.comによるとSea SmokeのワインメーカーであるKris CurranがWilliam Foleyに引き抜かれたそうです（関連記事1，関連記事2，関連記事3，関連記事4）。この最後の記事で「Bill Foleyからはしばらく目が離せないかもしれません」と書いていますが，本当に矢継ぎ早の動きです。
また，Sea SmokeはアシスタントのDon Schroederがワインメーカーに昇格，Foley/LincourtのワインメーカーだったAlan Philipsは自身のブランドをはじめるとともにBuelltonのカスタム・クラッシュ「Terravant」でワイン作りを指揮するそうです。
根拠があるわけではないのですがSea SmokeとKris Curranは一体のように思っていたので，今回の移籍には正直驚かされました。
引用したように，CurranはFoley，LincourtのほかAshley'sの畑の新ブランドTwo Sistersを担当するほか，FirestoneやナパのMerusのコンサルティングも行うそうです。まさにグループ全体のワイン作りにかかわるわけですね。Curranは彼女自身のワイナリも別に持っていますが，そちらに割く時間があるのかどうかちょっと心配です。"Curran is the new winemaker at Foley Estates Vineyard & Winery, in the same Sta.
